In 1979 David Mecey was hired as a staff photographer at Playboy Magazine launching an exceptional, 23-year relationship. During his tenure at America’s premier men’s magazine David discovered 20 Playmates of the Month, shot six gatefolds (two published), scores of pictorials, and along with his buddy David Chan, worked on every “College Girl” pictorial from 1980 to 2003. And yet it’s David’s work as a freelance photographer that, in many ways, eclipses his Playboy portfolio.

Mecey has over 40 magazine covers to his credit, including four straight years behind the lens at Sport Magazine’s “Swimsuit Issue”. David’s corporate clients include Coca-Cola, J.C. Penney, ABC-TV, American Photo, Venus Swimwear, MGM, Lawry’s and Fuji Film Corporation. His celebrity clients include Denise Richards, Brooke Shields, Rachel Hunter, Carmen Electra, Jay Leno, Michael Keaton, Robert Palmer, Sparky Anderson, Sharon Stone and Vanessa Marcil of TV’s “Vegas”.

The most personal chapter of David’s journey began in 2003 with the introduction of FotoFantasyCamp… a four-day intensive photography course for professionals and serious hobbyists looking to take their skills to the next level.
